HYPNOTHERAPY FOR WEIGHT LOSS

What is hypnosis?  Hypnosis is a method used to relax your body and your conscious mind, which allows your subconscious to be more open and accessible.  In this relaxed state, your subconscious will accept positive suggestions and visualizations, such as for losing excess weight and becoming fit and healthy.

The amount you eat and the way in which you use food is a pattern that has been established in your subconscious.  In order to change negative eating habits, new patterns must be created.  This is accomplished through re-programming your subconscious through hypnosis.  It’s much easier than using your conscious mind’s will power!

My protocol for weight loss includes five sessions.  The first one kind of eases you into the mindset that you’re now very motivated to lose weight, and you believe you can do it because you’re harnessing the power of your subconscious to do so.  That first session addresses your goals in general plus some stress reduction as well.

The next four sessions address every aspect of weight loss there is, beginning with food choice--programming the subconscious to no longer be attracted to “bad” foods but instead to good low-calorie foods including vegetables, fruits and salads. Since produce contains fiber, we don’t tend to overeat these wholesome, healthful foods.

This session may also address cooking, shopping, or whatever may be needed to visualize the preparation for healthy eating.  Included too are your reasons for weight loss (so the subconscious can understand why you are doing this), as well as exercise goals.

The second weight-loss session takes a look at creating new options to do when you would normally eat for reasons other than legitimate hunger, for example to ease stress, to celebrate, for comfort, etc. The new options address the underlying issues but do not involve eating. Your reasons and exercise goals are also reinforced.

The third session explores when your weight gain started and takes a look at the reasons for it.  Then it has you visualize you after you’ve lost the weight you want to lose, looking healthy and fit and attractive.  This gives the subconscious a blueprint for your goals.

The fourth session involves some guided imagery of a healing light that also stimulates the glands that determine your body’s energy level.  So it increases metabolism to help you burn your fuel more efficiently.

You receive a total of five recordings, which you play until you’ve reached your target weight and then as needed to maintain that weight.
