Navigating the Spiritual Awakening: From Isolation to Illumination
by Geneva Stevahn Hill of We Are The Galaxy ~ (208) 996-5579

Is there a defining “before and after” moment in your life? Like you were one person before this *thing* occurred, and an entirely different person afterward?

I do.

In 2012, I was suffering from battle fatigue of sorts with my own spirituality story. I was frustrated, exhausted, and admittedly, a little bit manic. I looked up at the sky, and said, “God, if you’re real, just f*$#ing SHOW yourself!”

I did not expect the sky to open up. I did not anticipate viewing through a part of the veil and witnessing the exquisite beauty on the other side. I did not expect my life to change forever.

I did not know that the Geneva I was would cease to exist after that moment. I was different forever.

I had just “found God,” but it was so much bigger than that. I was changed. As a former atheist, my entire life had suddenly become entirely transformed. There was an incredible shift in my perspectives and prioritizing what mattered to me.

But I didn’t know anyone I could talk to about it.

Psychic awakening and spiritual awakening have become quite a bit more commonplace since I had my experience in 2012, but I still speak with new clients every week who report the same thing: “I don’t have anyone I can talk to about this stuff. Nobody understands.”

Society deems the questions, fixations, interests, and discoveries of the spiritual traveler as “weird,” “personal,” or “taboo” and honestly, this can be incredibly damaging to the person whose entire life and reality is being called into question.

While not everyone may experience a complete death of their former self in their discovery of Oneness Consciousness or Soul Purpose, the questions surrounding this experience are valid and deserve answering. The amount of information on the Internet can be confusing, contradictory, and occasionally even dangerous. Not to mention the isolation and loneliness of feeling like none of your friends or family understand what you’re going through.

That is why I created We Are The Galaxy. To serve as a safe space for those examining a life, spirituality, and purpose that previously lay dormant. A non-judgmental space to ask hard questions and find support, love, and a wealth of information and perspectives. We draw on everything from ancient to modern sources and offer a variety of wisdom so they can discern what Truth is to them.

I have a definite before and after. I am not the same as I was before. But in many ways, seeking Truth has made me a better, brighter, and more joyful person. I pray the same will be true for all who walk the illuminated path.
