When we least expect it, powerful spiritual communication can come from the soft voices of Nature. In anthropology there is a belief all of Nature, the elements, the plants and the animals have Spirits.
I believe in Spiritism which is based on the belief that Spirits are immortal souls that inhabit physical bodies, evolve through reincarnation and can communicate with the living. It centers on God as the supreme creator, moral evolution and charity.
This is a belief not only is the nonhuman world alive, but it also possesses articulate and at times intelligible spirits, which can perceive, communicate and interact with us.
On an intuitive level, we always know there is significance to our experiences in Nature. Here is my personal story where there was such a spiritual force associated with the phenomena and a unique delivery of a message.
Many years ago, I was living for a short time on a ranch outside Boise, Idaho. I was packing my things and getting ready to move into town, when my ex-partner came into the room and said he had a gift for me.
This felt strange because we were in the middle of a divorce. He handed me a box and then pulled out a “bear claw” necklace. The minute I held the necklace in my hands, the vibe was off and I got a strong negative chill. I thanked him and placed it to the side until I figured out what I could do with it.
The next day, I went to a dry creek bed near the house and buried it very deep into the sandy creek bottom. I knew no one would ever find it there and was relieved to be rid of it.
Here’s where it gets strange. I moved into town and rented a home where I felt safe and could relax. As the last of my boxes and furniture was brought into my new residence, the moving company foreman handed me the bill.
I’ll never forget the look on his face as he told me that he always checks one last time in the back of the moving truck, and there in the middle of the floor of the truck was the Bear Claw Necklace! It was the same necklace that I had secretly buried in the dry creek bed!
He handed the necklace into my hands and the negative chill was back on my body.
You might wonder what I did with the necklace. Well, while it was in my possession, there were some very bad dreams of being hurt by a black bear. It would chase me into a dark cave and I would hide. This negative dream went on for a while and finally, I knew it was the bear claw necklace and what had to be done.
As soon as possible, I found a medicine person who cleared the energy on the necklace and sometime later I gave the necklace away. I was just relieved to be rid of the negative energy.
I have had many positive experiences with nature, and some not so pleasant. The ranch outside of Boise had multiple spirits and I realized through the many experiences I was being spiritually educated.
Here are two very important books to share about Nature Spirits and their possible messages: Nature Speaks and Animal Speak are both books by Author Ted Andrews These books include a comprehensive dictionary of the symbolisms of Nature.
