From losing a few to many pounds, weight loss is a common desire for almost everyone. When you think of the people in your life, how many do you know who are completely content with their weight?
Even with a million ways to lose weight, keeping the weight off is the real struggle. If you're like me, you've lost the weight, and then before you know it, you gain the weight back. Adding insult to injury, you probably gained a little more than you lost. It's almost as if your body is putting up resistance so you never try to lose weight again.
Why does this happen? Frankly it's because only part of you wants to lose weight. Your whole self is not "in it to win it." So what part of you isn't onboard? For that you'll have to look to your subconscious.
Despite your best efforts, and for reasons unique to you, your subconscious mind may be not completely committed to losing weight. If the subconscious part of your mind isn't fully invested in reaching your goals, then all your best efforts will fall short. You're slower to weight loss and then keeping it off is almost impossible.
If you don't change your mind, your body will never follow. What you'll get is a yoyo, back and forth, win and lose cycle that may stay with you for the rest of your life.
When most (all?) problems originate in the mind, it makes sense that making positive changes must start there too. Yet, working with the mind to assist the body isn't the go-to medium for change. Hypnosis is typically the last-ditch effort for most people. This is too bad. A lot of time and frustration is avoided when a solution is available at the beginning of the weight loss journey.
Hypnosis works with the power of suggestion while in a trance state. In a trance, your conscious mind takes a backseat and your subconscious mind moves to the foreground. Your subconscious mind absorbs the world around it. While in a trance, this allows hypnotic suggestion to sink deep into the mind and marry your conscious desires with your subconscious desires. When both parts of your mind are in sync, conflict fades. Without conflict between the conscious and the subconscious desires, your dreams can become reality.
